Reason Why Nigeria Is Moving On A Reverse Gear.

There is pretty little doubt that Nigeria is running on its six (not the traditional four) cylinders on a reverse gear, with the result being very unpalatable, but to the few in the corridors of power, at both federal and state levels.

The reason being the fact that the driver steering the affairs of the country is a very big business person (rent seeker), NOT a politician, by any standard, except attracting like minded people around him.

Business people are only good in the boardroom, enriching themselves, instead of the political office, where they are expected to enrich the people they represent. In other words, the least one would expect at the Presidential Villa, the various government houses, and the Assemblies, both at federal and state levels, are business minded people, who would rather become obscenely wealthy, than invest in their communities and constituencies for now and the future.

It therefore does not take an Albert Einstein, to put one and one together, to arrive at why Nigeria moves backward instead of forward, since serious nations have leaders who are particularly concerned about the future of their countries, rather than themselves, as is presently the case in Nigeria.

Let us take at look at the various minuses that have become the nightmare of lot of Nigerians since some of the present crop of leaders came on board, to pilot the affairs of the country. They pilot it alright, but only REVERSELY, instead of FORWARDLY. And their major preoccupation at the moment, especially in Abuja, is how to RIGG their way into the second term in 2027, so that they can continue doing what they are only good at, their massive corruption, and efforts to ‘decimate’ the Northern part of the country into oblivion, as demonstrated by the untiring rehabilitation of the official residences of the number one and the number two citizens in the country, in Lagos, the capital of Lagos state, and home town of President Tinubu.

President Tinubu once promised to “go after bad Nigerians. That is a mare talk, otherwise, he should START with HIMSELF. That will convince all that he meant to walk his talk. Nobody will be deceived anymore by empty promises that were made to deceive, but not to be fulfilled.

The repair of the Port a Harcourt Refinery was a gargantuan scam. Since it has finally proven by the newspapers to be one big scam, despite the virulent denial of the nation’s owned petroleum company, Nigerian National Company Limited (NNPC), where then disappeared the $1.2 (US) said to be used for the ‘repair’ of the refinery? Has if performed the usual trick of disappearing into private accounts, including the president’s?

Since he became Nigeria’s President in May 29, 2023, the country, particularly its Northern part, has been experiencing a retrogression on unimaginable proportion, fuelled by the regular deliberate collapse of the National Grid (14 times and counting, in the space of only one year, 2024), among other debilitating woes.

Because of the pervasive hunger and poverty in Nigeria, even animals, especially smaller ones like dogs and cats, are rapidly disappearing from these shores, as they are either eaten by hungry humans or sold, minus the head, as ‘bush meat’ along motor highways, by people who claim to have hunted them from the ‘bushes’. The people whose religious belief has forbidden them from eating some meat, should therefore beware of buying or eating ‘bush meat’ at the moment.

And lots of hard working people, like butchers, are going out of business, because only the top shots in governments, the NASS and their cronies as well as the very rich business people, can afford to buy and eat meat for and with their meals all the time.

CORRUPTION from the Presidency has become a regular part of its way of doing business, that it was alleged to have recently bribed each of the members of the House of Representatives with N1 billion ‘Constituency allowance’ so as to make them agree not to boo the president when he visited the National Assembly to present the 2025 appropriations budget. Some of the Villa’s agents have insidiously rattled on their colleagues, and disclosed the intentions.

President Tinubu has also legitimised the office of the First Son, with all the accoutrements to go with it, even though there is absolutely nothing like that in the Nigerian Constitution. That means the office of the First Son is an aberration, which is not known to the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, old or amended.

The First Son, has also become a minister of sorts, who constantly accompanies the president whenever he travels to anywhere in the world, earning him untold illegal billions of the scarce money that the country possesses at the moment.

The government appears to be determined to send yet more people to their graves, as the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Mr.  recently
warned that every intended free distribution of food items must be reported to his office in advance for approval, which by the time it arrives (if it ever does) many people would have died of the deliberately created poverty and hunger in the country.

Many people, particularly Northerners, are openly apologising to the citizens of the country for campaigning vigorously for the election of Tinubu as President in the run up to the 2023 general elections, vowing NEVER to do it again. This cuts across the traditional suspect fault lines.

Mrs. Badenorch’s jingoistic ranting against Northern Nigerian Muslims would have known no restraint, if she had realised that the person for whom she pulled back her hate statement, is himself a closet hater of the region. That much can be gleaned from his EMILOKAN statement.

But the greatest insult to Muslims everywhere is the surreptitious attempt to commit apostasy by CORRECTING ALLAH in the sharing of a deceased wealth to his legal inheritors. The present regime tried to see the smooth passage in the National Assembly of the Tax Reform Bill, which contained the inclusion of government in the sharing of the deceased wealth, what in the Western World they refer to as the ‘death duty’.

All proud Northerners must express their appreciation and gratitude to the untiring and indefatigable Dr. Garus Golobo from Nasarawa State, for being very fearless and frank In exposing the ill motives of the present regime towards the North. He appears not to care for the consequences of his strong beliefs in the oneness of the the region, which appears in direct conflict with the futile hope, wish and desire of the present regime in the country.

Dr. Garus takes a somewhat personal interest in ensuring that the North has a better deal than the region is getting from the current regime in the country. His fight against the regime’s secret move to bring the French Military base to the region, after its humiliating dismissal from most of its former African colonies, should be highly commended by Northerners.

The multiplicity of woes being suffered by the nation, particularly the Northern part of the country, under Which President Tinubu appears to be increasing by the day, making any effort to keep the evil record the proverbial “exercise in futility”.

May God come to the rescue of Nigeria from the greed of the sharks that control and feed on it at the moment.
